Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to CACHE (Computing Applications and Classroom Heuristic Evaluation). To ensure a smooth and efficient publication process, we request that all authors carefully read and follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Document Template

All submissions must strictly adhere to the CACHE Journal formatting rules. To facilitate this, authors are required to use our official Microsoft Word template.

[INDONESIAN TEMPLATE]

2. General Requirements

  • Originality: The manuscript must represent original research that has not been published previously and is not currently under review by another journal or conference.

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English.

  • File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word document format (.doc or .docx). PDFs are not accepted for the initial manuscript submission.

  • Length: Manuscripts should generally be between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following sequence (commonly known as the IMRaD format):

  1. Title: Concise, informative, and no more than 15 words.

  2. Author Names & Affiliations: Full names, affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author. (Note: For the initial submission, please leave this blank in the manuscript file to ensure a double-blind review. Add this information only in the OJS metadata).

  3. Abstract: A single paragraph of 150-250 words summarizing the background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion. Do not include citations.

  4. Keywords: 3 to 5 relevant keywords, separated by semicolons.

  5. Introduction: Background of the study, related works (gap analysis), and research objectives.

  6. Research Methodology: Detailed explanation of the research design, system architecture, data collection, and analysis methods.

  7. Results and Discussion: Clear presentation of the findings followed by an in-depth interpretation and comparison with previous literature.

  8. Conclusion: A summary of the main findings answering the research objectives, along with limitations and future work.

  9. Declarations: Author contributions, funding acknowledgments, and conflict of interest statements.

  10. References: Only include sources cited in the text.

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Page Setup: A4 size paper with standard margins.

  • Font: Times New Roman or Arial, 11-12 pt for the body text, with 1.15 line spacing.

  • Figures and Tables: Must be placed within the text (not at the end of the document). Figures must be high quality (at least 300 dpi). Table titles should appear above the table; figure titles should appear below the figure.

  • Equations: Must be editable and created using a standard Equation Editor.

5. Citations and References

CACHE Journal mandates the use of reference management software (such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote).

  • Style: All citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style 7th Edition.

  • Quality: At least 80% of the references must be primary sources (peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings) published within the last 5 to 10 years.

6. Peer Review Policy

CACHE uses a Double-Blind Peer Review process. This means the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept hidden from each other.

  • Anonymization: Authors must ensure that their manuscript file does not contain identifying information. Do not include author names or affiliations in the document properties or under the title.

7. Plagiarism Policy

Academic integrity is our top priority. All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or iThenticate.

  • The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.

  • Submissions exceeding this threshold will be immediately rejected or returned for revision before being sent to reviewers.

8. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the CACHE OJS portal. Do not send submissions via email.

  1. Register as an "Author" on our website.

  2. Click on "New Submission."

  3. Follow the 5-step submission process, ensuring all metadata (Title, Abstract, Keywords, References) is filled out completely in the system.
